Microsoft will be removing the ability to add new accounts to Outlook on the web using the Connected accounts feature on September 15, 2018 and will stop syncing existing accounts on October 30, 2018.

Microsoft Office No Longer Supported On Mac Pro
- You won’t be able to connect new accounts after September 15, 2018.
- Accounts that were connected before September 15th will continue to sync as usual until October 30, 2018.
- On October 30th, all connected accounts will stop syncing email.
- On November 15th, the Connected accounts option (Settings > Mail > Accounts) will be removed from Outlook on the web .
- Email that has already synced will continue to appear in your inbox unless you remove it manually.
If you’re on an unsupported version of macOS, your Office apps will still work but you would no longer receive any updates including security updates. For example, if you’re on macOS 10.13, but later you don’t update your macOS to a supported version when macOS 10.13 is no longer supported, you won’t receive any updates of any kind.

- I just purchased & downloaded Office 2019 for my Mac, since Office 2011 was no longer supported. In that process, I lost data I had input in Excel from August 10 through this past week. When going to my backup (time machine- Mac), it also lost the 35 entries since August 10.
- 2019-12-5 I am running on Mac OS X 10.8.2. I have a licensed copy of Microsoft Office, and haven’t had a problem using it, until a recent update! Since then, whenever I try to open it I get the following message: You can't open the application 'Microsoft Word' because PowerPC Applications are no longer supported. How do I resolve this, please?
